gladys speaks

I am not one that belives in ghosts or the relatives speaking to you from the grave but. Having said that i had a plate attack me teusday. I was up at my usual odark thirty in the kitchen getting ready for work. I had my back to the cupboards next to the sink on the other side of the kitchen, when i heard this loud crash behind me. i looked around and at my feet and all over the the floor and the counter top to find a lead crystal serving dish broken. This dish was handed down from my mother-in -law Gladys and close to my wifes heart. It was on top of the cupboard sitting in its spot untouched by human hands until Gladys my beloved mother-in-law wanted to get my attention about something. When my wife rushed into the kitchen i was still standing there with glass around my feet in shock. Of course my wife was very surprised at the mess i had made of her kitchen and lead crystal.
I looked at her a she at me and i said i didn't touch it but i think your mom is ticked about something. We both got a laugh out of it and cleaned up the mess and went on with our day.

Being laid up

Thats not to be confused with laid out. I am not to fond of being laid up you sit in the chair and watch tv or sleep or sit in bed and watch tv and nobody wants to kiss you ,well the sweety doesn't. Then when you get tired of doing those you go to the internet and here i am. you know you are tired of tv when you can turn off the volume and still like it just as much. Hopefully i will get this kicked by tommorow and be able to go to the welcome home at the airport. No matter how you feel physicaly if you are telling amilitary person welcome home then you will feel better and so will the marine and family.

Helpin folks

Ok, so i skipped church today. I have an excuse i am old and not used to manual labor. I don't think thats news considering i don't built anything for a living except relationships. I got the chance yesterday to build relationships and fences. The pgr folks are really fun and hard workers and good cooks. We were asked (the patriot guard) to repair a fence that had been improperly installed by a contractor. The request came from a military widow. We were happy to do it. It gives us a chance to show where our hearts are and that we do care about the families that loose loved ones in the defense of our country. Most of the time we go to the services and support the family and show respect to our heroes and then go home and don't see the family again. When we are given this chance to show how grateful we are we are blessed and by the looks and hugs we got yesterday i think the family was blessed to. Serving folks is great.
